Shake and Spill (with 10)
Aim: Join and seperate groups of up to a total of 10 by grouping and counting

An activity for 1-2 players.
Equipment: set of 10 double-sided counters (e.g., yellow on one side, red on the other), cup, recording sheet (optional)

How to play:
Children shake the 10 counters and spill on the table to reveal a number of counters yellow-side-up and red-side-up. They say the number sentence, e.g., "4 + 6 = 10" or "6 + 4 = 10". Repeat.
Option: Children record the number sentences on a recording sheet (see below). How many different number sentences are there?
*This activity can be used for any number up to 10.
