Aim: Join and seperate groups of up to a total of 10 by grouping and counting

Equipment: Sand-filled rubber gloves, cards with equations for students to solve, whiteboard pens and erasers (cloths).

What to do:
Children select a card and show each addend on the hand by placing the fingers up or down. They solve the equation either by counting or using patterns (e.g., "5 and.. facts").
