Semester I (sometimes referred to as Level One) is composed of the following courses:
NRSAD 101 Fundamentals of Nursing
NRSAD 102 Nursing Skills
NRSAD 103 Nursing Pharmacology
NRSAD 104 Introduction to Clinical Practice
NRSAD 101, NRSAD 102 and NRSAD 103 are offered at either the Milwaukee (downtown) Campus or Mequon Campus.

Required Supplies for ADN students:
MATC student uniform and shoes
MATC embroidered logo on uniform top
MATC ID (in a protective clip-on cover; no lanyard)
Gait belt
Stethoscope with bell and diaphragm
Black ink pens
Penlight
Watch with second hand
Blood Pressure Cuff (Adult size: check with your instructor)
Bandage scissors
Basic calculator
Your instructor may require additional supplies (such as a clipboard, PPE such as masks or goggles) depending on the clinical site. Contact your instructor directly for this information.
Recommended: Backpack, three ring binder, highlighters, notepaper.
Direct communication by students with clinical/field placement facilities to inquire regarding clinical/field placement is not allowed.
All students, please be aware of the following:
Once final grades are posted for the current semester, MATC reserves the right to move any student from one section to another based on section enrollment.
No special requests for clinical sites or campus location will be accepted.
There will be space available in all courses for students in good standing to continue in the program but you must register by the deadline.
Students who have any expired requirements or requirements not uploaded onto Castle Branch will not be able to attend any nursing courses (theory or clinical).
All records contained in Castle Branch must remain current throughout the semester. Therefore, take the time prior to the start of the semester to update any requirements due to expire.
All nursing courses utilize Blackboard. Please check your Blackboard course regularly for updates and announcements.
