Bus Pass Information: 

 How can a student qualify for a bus pass and where can they go?

The College has transitioned to the WisGo application. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits to receive a code and should use their MATC email address to login.

VITA - Free Tax Return Preparation for Students

The Milwaukee Area Technical College Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (MATC VITA) is officially open for tax season! MATC Accounting students and volunteers who are IRS-certified will be preparing and e-filing 2021 Federal and Wisconsin tax returns for taxpayers with household income of approximately $65,000 or less. The service is completely free and can be done virtually through getyourrefund.org/matc. Questions can be directed to vita@matc.edu or 414-297-8417.

Many scholarship opportunities are still open. 

The STORMER Completion scholarship is for folks who ran out of Financial Aid (or are ineligible for another reason) and in their last semester. It can help up to 6 credits worth of tuition. 

The Metallica scholarships have reopened; please note, to qualify the student must be close

to graduating this year to qualify. 


The Reconnect scholarship can assist with covering past due balances for up to $2000 (matc.edu/reconnect). 


The Pepsico Uplift scholarship is available for black and brown students. 


The Checota scholarship is open until Friday June 7, 2024


The Froedtert Memorial Hospital Scholarship application for the 2023-24 academic year is now open until May 26, 2024.  Read more here.


MATC ReStart provides a scholarship for eligible returning students to pay off up to $1,500 of a past-due balance owed to the college for items such as tuition, books and other fees. ReStart is breaking down the barriers that stand between you and your dreams of going back to MATC.
