Population Policies in the UK: Pronatalist (or expansive) population policies are those that encourage reproduction and population growth. There are many pro-natalist policies that were put in place to counteract the declining total fertility rate in the UK. Some of these policies include weekly payments to people who have children, child trust funds, improved maternity leave (for both men and women), and pregnancy health grants.
On January 1st, 2021 the UK changed its immigration policy to a new "points-based system." According to, https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/jun/08/uk-government-immigration-harvard-visa, "The UK recently launched a 'High Potential Individual' (HPI) visa aimed at attracting the 'brightest and best' from around the world to its soggy shores. If you qualify under the scheme you are welcomed into the country for at least two years, even if you don’t have a job offer." Citizens of the EU, EEA, and Switzerland do not need a visa to enter the UK for a visit. You must have a Marriage Visitor visa if you want to get married in the UK. According to, https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-immigration-system-what-you-need-to-know, "The points-based system includes a route for skilled workers who have a job offer from an approved employer sponsor. The job you’re offered will need to be at a required skill level of RQF3 or above (equivalent to A level). You’ll also need to be able to speak English and be paid the relevant salary threshold by your sponsor. This will either be the general salary threshold of £25,600 or the going rate for your job, whichever is higher." The UK is very open to immigration, as long as the immigrants are talented workers or students. They are currently being flooded with immigrants and it might cause overpopulation in the UK so they have had to reform their immigration policies quite a bit over the last few years.
