Census Data In China
Census data is systematically acquiring and recording information about the members of a given population. The government does this every 10 years. This Census is about birth rates in China. Based on the chart, birth rates were highest around the mid to late 80s and the lowest in 2020. You can see the birth rate drop significantly around 10 years after the one-child policy came into effect. It continued to drop then even out. Then, in 2016 the two-child policy came into effect and it began to drop again.
Satellite Imagery in China
Satellite imagery is images of Earth collected by satellites operated by governments or businesses around the world. This is a satellite image of China. This map shows that West China has a landscape of mostly desert, whereas East and Eastwest China is greener. This map displays some mountain areas, as well as the border around China.
