Mother’s Day is Mary’s busiest day/ week of the year. It is a condition of your employment to be available this weekend.

Special events. Cherry Hill, Melbourne Flower Show
Please use the unavailability function on deputy for your regular availability
Please upload your unavailability to Deputy with a least three weeks' notice.
It is recommended that leave is requested with as much notice as possible, as a small business we can only accommodate one person being on leave per day, if someone else has gotten in before you, then we will be unable to grant you leave for this day.
For any time off or unavailability, a minimum of 3 weeks' notice is required.
Leave requests are to be sent to your direct Manager. For ease of processing your request, you can use the following form for any leave request.
Mary Eats Cake: Leave request form
Once leave approval has been granted in writing, please proceed with the following:
- Block out your annual leave days in deputy
- Apply for your leave via Xero App (full-time and part-time staff only, casual employees do not need to do this)
If you are unwell and need to take a day off please inform your direct manager 3 hours before your shift (or at your earliest convenience). If you are full-time or part-time you will need to provide evidence to be entitled to paid sick leave.
If you are sick and away from work and would like to be paid for the day you have missed, you will need to provide a doctor's certificate and submit your sick leave via the Xero Me portal.
How to submit sick leave:
Open the Xero Me app
Click "Leave" and then "+ new request"
Select "personal/carers leave"
Add leave dates and select "Jessica Hillbrick" as the approver
