Candidates are expected to demonstrate professional responsibility, commitment to professional standards, and behaviors consistent with fairness. They are expected to hold the belief that all students can learn, and create positive learning environments. MBU - SOE introduces professional dispositions to students at admission to the teacher preparation program, and candidates are evaluated again at the end of methods and student teaching.
Multiple points of dispositional evaluation are key to monitoring growth and eliminating biasing of candidates. If there is a trend related to a dispositional concern, MBU- SOE provides data informed support. Professionalism and ethical standards, as well as personal integrity, are addressed ithroughout the coursework.
