The Teacher Education Program at Mary Baldwin University is granted accreditation at the initial-licensure level and the advanced level by CAEP, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), for a period of seven years, from May 1, 2022 to May 2029. Mary Baldwin’s Teacher Education Program is also the recipient of the 2022 Frank Murray Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement as they provided evidence and data trends to achieve accreditation with no stipulations or areas for improvement.
The teacher education program at Mary Baldwin University must report to the Virginia Department of Education regarding students’ performance on certain assessments.
