The SOE Ethics and Professional Standards Exam (Ethics Exam) is an internally created instrument designed to assess candidates' understanding of key legal and ethical issues of professional practice. MBU will not apply for a candidate's license (or additional endorsement) until the exam is passed. The Ethics Exam has a total value of 250 points. Candidates are expected to receive 210, which is passing. Candidates can attempt the Ethics Exam multiple times to reach 210.

The EPP is considering the following: type of question (definition, finish the statement, or yes or no), percentage of candidates who answer incorrectly and the incorrect response chosen, whether incorrect responses are on the first attempt, and course(s) question alignment.
