Central idea: Year 6 Exhibition... more news on this to follow!
Update on learning - What an exciting start to this term! We began with a trip to 'Safety in Action' at the start of the week, an interactive event where children learn about some of the dangers they may face as they become more independent and prepare for transition to secondary school. We have begun to plan our year 6 exhibition which is a pupil led inquiry that identifies, investigates and offers solutions to a global issue embracing the theme of access to equal opportunities. Year 5 & 6 visited the war memorial sites and trench museum in Belgium on Wednesday - please see the separate page for all the many pictures - it was an incredible day!

In school next week, your child will be discussing what they will need to do in order to be ‘ready’ in the morning. What can they already do independently without you telling them to? Is there anything that you know they are not doing without you intervening, but know they can? What would they like to be able to do on their own and what would you like them to be able to do? What do they/you need to do to be able to achieve this?
Many children struggle with completing these tasks independently, so the more they are prepared between now and September the better! (This will include how to tie a tie, tie shoe laces and pack a bag ready with the appropriate items ready for the school day!)
