Central idea: Humans make choices that may affect the earth's resources.
We have had a great first week back. We began by reflecting on the unit of inquiry in Module 5.
In our new PYP Unit, Sharing the Planet, we are researching the earth's resources and investigating renewable and non-renewable resources. The children have been thoroughly engrossed in the beautiful book - The Last Tree by Emily Haworth-Booth and have amazed me with their mature responses to some of the deeper issues raised within it.
In our Y2 maths this week, we have carried on our work on measurements by comparing and ordering different lengths (whilst using both cm and m) and have even started solving word problems involving length and height. For our Y1 maths, we are focusing on place value and really consolidating our knowledge of numbers up to 100.
Please remember outdoor learning takes place on the following days:
Monday 13th June, Monday 27th June and Monday 11th July.
