Year 5   Learning Update

Central idea: The appreciation of art forms can be determined by the individual. 

We have continued our inquiry work into how art forms can be used as means of expression. Year 5 have spent time researching and finding out about the Mayans, which they used as their inspiration for their DT project of making bags. The children measured their own nets, created prints and sewed the bags up for their finished piece. 

In writing, we have been continuing to write our narrative based on the book 'The Last Wild'. They have enjoyed using figurative language to create an atmosphere in their work. 

Year 5 have been continuing to practice their Christmas carols, for the Christmas Carol concert in the upcoming week.
