Year 3   Learning Update

Central idea: Expression can be influenced by our values.

Year 3 have enjoyed expressing their values; firstly we had a wonderful values day last Tuesday whereby children wore their own clothes to show their character and passions.  We wrote a poem 'All about me' and created collage art as well as presenting our work to the class.  We used our values by showing acts of kindness and recording these on a class kindness tree.  Children also designed and later made their own values puppet peg doll, this has been a wonderful time of learning to help each other and really push ourselves to persevere when challenges arise.

In maths, we have been learning multiplication and division facts for the 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 times tables.  Children have needed to understand the importance of equal grouping and the relationship between the different tables.  Next week we will begin to learn the 8x tables - please take time to practise saying times tables facts at home.
