Central idea:
Chessington World of Adventures
The end of Year 6 fun well and truly began last week with our school leavers trip to Chessington World of Adventures. Excitement mounted on the coach, with cheers and clapping breaking out whenever a Chessington road sign was spotted on their approach to the theme park. On arrival, the children wasted no time in heading for the park's most thrilling roller coasters. Firstly, Dragon's Fury; a spinning sensation that left a few riders shell shocked but with their adrenaline kicking in, they were hungry for more. Secondly, Mandrill Mayhem; a shuttle wing coaster, where riders are propelled both forwards and backwards. With the queues low and the weather on our side the children spent the rest of the day revisiting many of their favourites, topped off with a sugar rush in the sweet shop before heading to the coach. A brilliant day that will stay in their memories for many years to come.
Exhibition
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Year 6 exhibition. As you could see, the children worked very hard on their inquiries and were able to produce some absolutely fantastic work. We felt very proud of their school journey and feel as though we are seeing them move on with many attributes and skills to continue building as lifelong learners.
