Central idea: Children encounter a range of risks, challenges and opportunities.
We have been very busy over the last couple of weeks, engrossing ourselves in our action to make a difference to children globally. We designed and made our own donation boxes for the charities of 'Save the Children' and 'Barnardos', and have written letters to different locations in Marden to ask for permission to place these in the village - we have had some positive responses so, excitingly, look out for some of our donation boxes in the village.
On Thursday, we had a visit from Diane (from Marden Heritage Centre) which was very exciting as we explored the changes in our village across the last 500 years by exploring a range of maps - we look forward to seeing these changes in person on our walk next week.
We have also been looking at the artwork of Johnson Tsang and creating our own sculptures to reflect both the skills he applied, but also to show the challenges faced by children - what do you think?
We also want to thank you all who came to watch our ukulele assembly - we really hope you enjoyed it!
