Year 6  Learning Update

Central idea: Exploration leads to discoveries, opportunities and new understandings.

SATs like a Ninja

The children have been fortunate to each receive a copy of the book 'SATs like a Ninja' to support their revision for the forthcoming assessments.  We will be using the book in class to recap the skills needed to answer questions in each of the papers.  Please do continue to go over concepts which they are struggling with at home, as this will also support their understanding and confidence.

Maths 

We have been learning function machines, sequences and algebra.  We have also been measuring and calculating angles.  

Inquiry

We are well into our first line of inquiry, which is looking at reasons for exploration.  We have started our core text, Windrush Child, and so far the children have developed a good understanding that early explorations took place for a number of different reasons.
