Spring is slowly arriving and the mornings are getting brighter - hopefully the warmer weather will start to follow.
This week has been filled with exciting learning experiences for our pupils. On Tuesday, Year 5 participated in an engaging workshop titled 'Portals from the Past', focusing on the fascinating world of the Anglo-Saxons. The children had a fantastic day, immersing themselves in a variety of activities that enriched their understanding of life during this historical period. A special commendation goes to those pupils who came dressed in period costumes; your creativity was truly commendable.
On Thursday, we proudly celebrated World Book Day. Many children enthusiastically brought in wooden spoons they had decorated to represent their favourite literary characters, and the joy of dressing up added to the festive spirit. Each teacher selected one of their favourite books to share, allowing students to listen to stories and partake in engaging activities related to their choices. It was lovely to witness the children’s excitement about reading and storytelling.
Next week, we have more exciting activities to come with Science Week.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
