Central idea: Water management can play a role which influences the environment
A very hot week!
On Wednesday morning, we were lucky to go to Marden Cricket and Hockey Club to take part in some cricket drills and activities. It was a lovely morning where the children practised fielding, batting and bowling skills in beautiful weather and facilities.
We have had assessments this week. The children have been doing reading and maths tests, as well as producing a piece of independent writing. Although it has been hot, the class has done very well and hasn't let the heat put them off.
In computing, we have been practising programming skills, creating algorithms to instruct a turtle to make shapes. In fact, some of the class have become so adept at this that they have created incredibly complex shapes and patterns (see below).
We have been learning how to describe size and colour in Spanish. It has been tricky pronouncing some of the words correctly but the children have been incredibly enthusiastic and beginning to say basic sentences.
