Oak        Learning Update

Central idea: Shelters, for humans and animals, is a basic need.

Our PYP Action

After weeks of planning, the day of our PYP Action arrived. We had posters, biscuits, displays and lots of enthusiasm from our youngest learners. All children had the shared vision of raising as much money as possible so the WWF could help to look after our adopted penguin, Percy. In our preparation for the event, we had made a floor plan and calculated how many people may come. We set out the tables and the children wrote menus so all adults knew what they could purchase.

Luana: "This was the best day in school... EVER!"

Jason: "We are going to help the penguins now."

Mia: "We can help the penguins to have a home."

We were thrilled to raise over £100 in under an hour. The EYFS team cannot thank you enough for your generosity and engagement in our recent lines of inquiry.

We look forward to our 'Dress as your favourite animal' for a £1 donation on the first day back after the Easter break. Again, all money raised will go to the WWF.

Have a wonderful break and we look forward to seeing you again on Monday 15th April.
