4Acacia   Learning Update

Central idea: The legacies of Ancient Civilisations may influence modern Britain.

The last two weeks have been really busy for us in our inquiry. Last week we had an amazing day living life as a Roman for the day, we all loved it especially the gladiator fights at the end. We learnt the whole Roman empire history, played classic Roman games and even took part in chariet racing. Even today the children are still talking about all the activities we did and have been incorporating this into their inquiry lessons which is great to see.

This week we have been designing and creating Greek and Roman sandals. The children have been measuring to ensure they have their exact measurements for their feet and ensure all their straps and accessories are measured up to fit. The children are excited to bring their designs home to show you all the hard work they have put into this.

Next module the children will be having outdoor learning on a Friday afternoon. The children will need a suitable change of clothes, that reflects weather for the day and wellington boots. PE is back next term, as we have finished swimming, so children will need to ensure PE kit is in from Monday to Friday, to ensure they can take part in PE next term.
