1Spruce    Learning Update

Central idea: Human relationships can create a sense of belonging.

Spruce class have had an amazing first module in year 1. They have all settled in fantastically and have been working incredibly hard in all aspects of their learning. Recently, through exploring our core texts Beegu, and The Lonely Beast, we learnt that in order to develop and nurture important relationships in our lives we should show gratitude and kindness to our important people. To do this we decided to bake for our family members. We chose whether we would like to bake a muffin or a biscuit and got to baking as a team and following a recipe. We have been developing our maths knowledge and have been working on addition and fact families, which we will continue in module 2. This week we have shared our home learning. The work the children have produced at home is incredible and we can see how much they have put into it! Thank you for helping the children complete such lovely home learning, we are very proud of them all. 

Please note: 

In module 2 Miss Rogerson will be out of class on Mondays. Our new PE day is also on a Monday so please ensure children have their PE kits for the first day back.
