3B Learning Update

Central idea: People can go on vacations to explore different communities.

This week was art week, so we continued to develop our sewing skills and created a patchwork quilt inspired by the artist Faith Ringgold. The quilt was relevant to our inquiry as the children discussed the essential things they needed to go on a vacation deciding warmth was important for any trip.

We began looking at equivalent fractions in maths and began writing a recount in Inquiry.

We also completed our fundraiser with Jessica Fleischer, a two times English kickboxing champion. The children did so well! They showed excellent stamina and made me very proud.
