Hey Volunteers, now is the time when the garden needs you most. At this point, almost all the beds have been planted so staying on top of weeds is critical to get the best yields.
An hour of your time can really add up to big help. Pick a time that works for you! Come alone or bring your family for extra help.
There is a hand sanitizer dispenser installed on the outside of the shed. There is also a large bucket for weed collection. If the bucket is full, please dump in the compost pile out by the fence near the very last apple tree (look for the orange cone).

General weeding this week would be great! We also have a population of squash bugs on our pumpkins that needs to be squashed! Look under leaves to collect and smoosh them. They may also travel to our other squashes and cucumbers so keep your eyes peeled.

5 - dill, sunflowers, cucumber
6- dill, sunflowers, watermelon
7- zucchini, yellow squash
8, 9, 10 - pumpkins
11 - butternut squash
12 - carrots
13 - beets, radish, daikon, kohlrabi
14 - onion
15 - not planted yet (still good to weed!)
16 - broccoli (covered, don't worry about weeding)
17 - sunflowers & pole beans
18 - sunflowers & bush beans
19 - snow peas
