Ms. Steven's 1st grade class has been growing basil inside and today was the day to transplant some outside in the garden. The kids have had fun growing the seedlings and learned how delicious they smell. While transplanting they got to see all the healthy roots growing. They also learned how to pinch the tops so that the plants will bush out and grow more.
