WALT: write a recount
SC: I can plan my recount using pictures or simple planning template.
SC: I can write a recount about something I have already done.
SC: I can write using simple sentences that start with a capital and end with a full stop.
SC: I can attempt to spell words by sounding them out and writing down what I can hear.
SC: I can edit my work by underlining words that I don’t think are spelt correctly.
Write about something that happened in the past:
School holiday
When you helped cook or bake something
Staying in your own bubble
Playing games with your family
Caring for your pets
Watching your favourite tv programme or movie
Cleaning your house
Cleaning your yard or garden
Write about something that happened in the past:
places you went to like; park, beach, supermarket, pools, movies
visit family members
sleep over
celebrations
Write about a time when you...
were lost or scared
lost your teeth or hurt yourself
spend time with your family, friends or pets
were proud of yourself or proud of someone else
After you finish your planning use any writing paper or writing book you have at home to write your story.
REMEMBER to follow your plan and put your keywords into sentences.
EDIT your writing
Check your capital letters and full stops are in the right place
Read and check your writing makes sense.
Use finger spacing between words.
Underline your 'not sure' words.
Add in any missing words.
