David Churchill- Chair of Govenors

I was appointed interim chair of governors in December 2021, and am delighted to be working with the school and its community. I work as a director for TKAT, with responsibility for increasing opportunities for all pupils in all TKAT schools. Before joining TKAT in 2018, I worked for the Department for Education for over 10 years. When I taught in secondary schools, my subjects were French and German.

Anika Morson- Appointed Governor

I have been a governor at Maldon Primary since January 2023. I have a career in HR and Finance, mainly focusing on large scale transformation projects in recent years. I hope my skills and experience can be utilised to help the school meet its objectives and benefit the children.

Anna Rogers- Appointed Governor

I have been an appointed governor for Maldon Primary School since March 2021. I have lived in Maldon for the majority of my life and attended school in the area. Now I am a working mother with two children who attend another local primary school. My background is in finance and I have over a decade of experience in financial and management accounting in various sectors.  I feel that my experience of being a parent in another local school community, combined with my analytical workplace skills, benefit my role as a governor. I enjoy spending my spare time with family and friends; listening to music and watching films.

Paul Turney

I was appointed as a school governor at Maldon in May 2021. I am the headteacher at another TKAT primary school in West Sussex and have always appreciated the support that my governing body have offered me over my time at the school. I hope that my knowledge and experience will enable me to be a governor that offers the right level of challenge and support that will help the school in ensuring the best possible outcomes for its children. I am very excited about this opportunity to be a part of the governing body at Maldon.

Amy Pennick- Appointed Governor

I have recently been appointed as a parent governor from April 2021. I have 3 children, 2 of which are primary school age. I have over 20 years experience in senior Human Resource Management positions, and will use this experience along with my parent perspective to help Maldon Primary School continue to grow and provide the best learning environment for our children. For me, it's important as parents that we engage and support our school and the teachers and so I will take on the responsibility of Wellbeing which is complemented with my professional experience and skills.

Vicky Salvage- Appointed Governor

I have recently been appointed as a parent governor from October 2022, having recently relocated to Maldon. My child attends Maldon Primary School and has settled into the school community very well. I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse who took the leap into education 5 years ago, teaching student veterinary nurses in a local college. Within my role as parent governor, I hope to support the school to make changes necessary to continue to improve the teaching and learning experiences for all children.

Amanda Kinghorn- Appointed Governor

I was appointed as a governor for Maldon Primary in December 2022. I am an ex-city worker with a background in Human Resources, Diversity and Change Management. I currently work at a school in Brentwood and also run my own e-commerce business. I am a busy mum to 3 primary, middle and senior school age children and have 2 with additional needs. I hope my personal and professional experiences will provide beneficial insight. I also hope to add an element of diversity and a new perspective to the team. I’m eager to see Maldon Primary’s undoubted future successes and gains across the board.

Tina Sapsed- Staff Governor

I have worked as a learning support assistant for 2 years and have been a parent of children at the school for 8 years. I have seen great progression of the school whilst I have been employed here and I am very proud of this. I look forward to seeing the school continuing to develop.
