Message from our Executive Headteacher - Mrs Gunn

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our children, staff and governors warmly welcome everyone to Maldon Primary School - a school where we pride ourselves on our inclusive and supportive ethos.

Our staff team is committed to providing a secure, happy and calm environment in which all children are able to thrive socially, emotionally and academically.. We want every child to achieve their full potential recognising and celebrating their own achievements and aspirations, as well as those of others.

Parents make an important contribution to children’s achievements at school, and we nurture the relationship between the school and parents for the benefit of the children in our care in order that they develop socially, emotionally as well as academically.

At Maldon Primary School we encourage positive attitudes and resilience in learning and set high expectations. Staff support pupils in achieving their potential so that they can make the best possible progress and therefore are prepared for their secondary education. We know that the journey to learning is lifelong and we feel privileged and excited that Maldon Primary School is where this very important journey begins.

Beat Goes on Workshop

On Friday 17th June, all of our children got to take part in a music workshop led by a member of the West End musical STOMP! During the workshop, we got taught how to make different sounds using different parts of our body: this is a skill called body percussion. We really enjoyed our workshop and learning how to create lots of exciting different sounds!

Classroom Revamp!

We were very excited this week to receive our brand new tables and chairs for every classroom. The children were very excited to find out what colour their year group would be! What's happening to the old tables and chairs I hear you ask! Don't worry they are not going to waste! Mrs Sapsed has arranged for a charity to collect them all so they can go to children who need them in many different countries including Somalia and Uganda.
