Message from our Headteacher - Mrs Thorn
Our children, staff and governors warmly welcome everyone to Maldon Primary School - a school where we pride ourselves on our inclusive and supportive ethos. Our core values are based on ‘The Maldon 5’:
At Maldon Primary School:
We are honest and respectful.
We are positive about school.
We are inquisitive.
We are brave and ambitious.
We are all important.
Parents make an important contribution to children’s achievements at school, and we nurture the relationship between the school and parents for the benefit of the children in our care in order that they develop socially, emotionally as well as academically.
At Maldon Primary we encourage positive attitudes and resilience in learning and set high expectations. Staff support pupils in achieving their potential so that they can make the best possible progress and therefore are prepared for their secondary education. We know that the journey to learning is lifelong and we feel privileged and excited that Maldon Primary School is where this very important journey begins.
Red Nose Day!
Today we supported red nose day by dressing as superheroes, wearing red or coming as the super hero that we are! Check back soon to find out how much we raised!
We really enjoyed seeing the pictures of the children, both at school and at home, enjoying the snow yesterday! There were some fabulous snowmen that were built! It was lovely to be able to see so many happy faces playing out in the snow!
Young Carers Award- Bronze
We are delighted to announce that as a school we have been awarded the Bronze Young Carers award! This is is in recognition of how the school identifies and supports young carers! We are very proud of this achievement! A big well done to Miss Neave for running this!
