GEOMETRY REGENTS - - 1 CREDIT
Prerequisite: Credit in Algebra I and a passing score on the Algebra I Common Core Regents.

Description: Topics of instruction will include Constructions, Similarity, Right Triangles,Trigonometry, Circles, Geometric Properties with Equations, Geometric Measurement and Dimension, Modeling with Geometry and Mathematical Practices. All students will take the Geometry Common Core Regents Examination. Successful completion of this course will allow a student to take Algebra II the following year.

GEOMETRY HONORS - 03211 - 1 CREDIT
Prerequisite: Teacher Recommendation and minimally a 90 in Algebra I in addition to achieving a passing score on the Algebra I Common Core Regents.

Description: Students generally experience success in this class if they are motivated, organized and committed to the high expectations of an honors level course. Topics of instruction will include Constructions, Similarity, Right Triangles,Trigonometry, Circles, Geometric Properties with Equations, Geometric Measurement and Dimension, Modeling with Geometry and Mathematical Practices. The instruction will be rigorous and the pace will be challenging. All students will take the Geometry Common Core Regents Examination. Successful completion of this course will allow a student to take Algebra II Honors the following year.
