1. How do we know students are struggling? What evidence do we have of their understanding or misunderstanding?

   • Informal Assessments of the Whole Class

     1. What are we looking for as students are practicing the skills they are learning in class?

   • Formal Assessments of Individual Students

     1. What are our indicators that a student is not understanding material?

        • Are we looking at overall scores or are we looking at individual skills that make up the total assessment?

        • Is the student missing just a piece or multiple pieces of the material?

2. What do we do when a student doesn't understand the material?

   • What adjustments will we make on our future material to ensure students understand the material without encountering this area of concern?
