Questions to ask ourselves when looking for student leadership opportunities:
Can students contribute to class discussions at a deeper level?
Are there opportunities for students to mentor or support peers without becoming the teacher?
How can students demonstrate leadership while continuing to learn themselves?
Can students collaborate on advanced or extension activities with other proficient learners?
Some options may include students:
Leading review games
Faciliating discussions
Organizing service-learning projects
Mentoring younger students on long-term projects
Presenting to authentic audiences
Organizing exhibitions of student work
