fantastic fridays!

This September Lordswood Boys' School launched 'Fantastic Fridays'. We believe it is important to provide opportunities and skills that will shape and drive the future of our students, so we have introduced whole school enrichment weekly on Friday afternoons.

Each year group has an enrichment theme for this term:

Year 7 - Lifeskills

Year 7 students will be learning key life skills including kitchen safety, cookery skills, first aid and home DIY. This week students had an amazing time getting creative in the kitchen as they made their own pizzas from scratch!

Year 8 - Sports

In year 8, students will be spending Friday afternoons with the P.E department. Students will be able to take part in sports such as football, danish long ball and an obstacle course.

Year 9 - Outdoor Education

Our Year 9 pupils have outdoor education sessions including activities such as pitching tents, hiking and litter picks in the community. This will also support our Year 9 students who have chosen to complete their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Year 10 - Performing Arts

In year 10, our students are taking part in an 'Identity' project with the performing arts department. Students can choose to express this theme through Music, Drama, Art or Photography.
