october eal update
As a part of Black History Month, the students have been learning about issues such as race, belonging and world history. In our EAL literacy group, students have been sharing their own heritage.
Students created a display with their literacy tutor to show their different backgrounds and share this with other students.
Next term, students will have the opportunity to present to their peers about their first language and their home country. This is a brilliant chance to celebrate the diverse, multi-cultural learning community at Lordswood Boys' School. Students will also be able to develop their listening and oracy skills as they learn from their peers.
It is great to learn more our students and our global community here at LBS!
