Year 9 Book Review: There Is No Planet B

Aden A (9 Falcons) reviews There is No Planet B by Mike Berners-Lee:

This is an amazing book about climate change - the causes and solutions. It is filled to the brim with statistics, graphs and ‘easy-to-understand’ writing. It is logically laid out and written in a way so as to allow the reader to dive in and out of the book. He structures it as if it were a conversation: question and answer, each question stringing on from the last. There are some long parts and short parts, so it may be challenging for some, but it is definitely worth a read.

This book puts all the facts about climate change into perspective and makes you think about what you do in your day to day life. The graphs are detailed, and the answers are thought-provoking. It has been described as ‘a handbook for humanity on how to survive in these dark times’ by Leslie Hook. I agree. I think it is like a guide through how to live in an environmentally conscious way. It also helps me run the Environmentalists Initiative (which is free to join, just email me) and think about what we can do in this dangerous predicament we have been placed in.

In conclusion, this is an amazing book, and I highly recommend it. Why not go down to the library at G40 and give it a read?
