update: winter dragon by sulayman S.

We asked Sulayman some questions about writing the progress of his novel. Read his answers below:

1) For anyone who has not heard about the Winter Dragon, can you summarise the book so far?

It's about a boy who knows nothing about his real identity until he meets a stranger who changes his life.

2) What has been your biggest challenge in writing the book?

Well my biggest challenge was trying to find ideas. Discovering my main character and putting it into the book so when someone reads the book can picture this person.

3) Have your English lessons helped with writing this book? If so, how?

I feel like my English lessons have helped me a lot because they have improved my writing skills. It has allowed me to be more imaginative and taught me how to bring out my true potential.

4) What goals do you have for your novel?

Well, the first goal is to finish it (it's kind of obvious), the second goal is to publish it then I’ll write the next book taking my character into unimaginable worlds...

5) What can our readers do to support you?

How my readers can help to support me is, after I've finished the book, everyone gets the book and reads it. The most important part is to give me feedback both positive and negative so I can develop and improve my ideas, especially when writing the sequel.

We then asked Sulayman about his passion for reading...

1) What is your favourite book from the LBS 150? And why?

My favourite book in the LBS 150 is probably Wolf brother by Michelle Paver. The reason I like this book is because it is very adventurous and every single chapter ends with a cliff-hanger.

2) Do you have a favourite author or series? Why did you enjoy it?

My favourite series is the Percy Jackson series because it's about myths and it is humorous.

3) Describe your time at Lordswood Boys’ School in three words.

L-Laudable

B-Brilliant

S-Superb
