Y8 - EXEMPLARY presentations
This month has seen some exceptional work produced by Year 8 students: Afshin, Nehan and Shaban. Without prompting from staff, they created and delivered lessons (PowerPoint presentations included!) on a topic that interested them either personally or academically. At LBS, we applaud this exemplary work and expect big things in the future from these students.
The Rainbow Island by Afshin
Mr Smith was especially pleased that the geography lesson created by Afshin included keywords, targets and some green pen activities.

The Israel - Palestine conflict by Shaban and Nehan
Mr Jackson was wowed by these two boys for their presentation on the complicated topic of the Israel/Palestine conflict.
Nehan gave us his insights into why he chose this topic for his oracy lesson:
"The reason I felt it was important and beneficial to talk about the current struggles in Palestine is because of the lack of knowledge and understanding of the topic and how this kind of terror was being normalised due to the common reports of violence in the Arab states. My aim by the end of the presentation was to not only bring light to the matter but to also educate others on the history of the Palestinians constant battle, I feel the presentation helped my peers to better understand the current problems of the world and realise this was not just a trend or something to be brushed off as irrelevant/insignificant."
