New Year, New Group! Lordswood Boys' School has a new literacy group, the New York Jets, for its Year 7 and 8 English as Additional Language (EAL) students.

It is fantastic to already see the improvements in student's literacy this academic year. We have made a new literacy group to allow EAL students to continue to receive tailored, small group intervention.

Below is an example of the activities students complete during literacy time:

Monday- Comprehension Skills

Tuesday- Spellings

Wednesday- Peer Reading

Thursday- Oracy re-telling skills

Students have continued to benefit from peer reading during literacy time.

This has been an excellent opportunity for students to make new friends and help other students with their reading and speaking skills.
