Year 7 ESA football squad

The Year 7 ESA Football squad are pictured training as they prepared for a busy schedule over the following weeks.

We always discuss with the boys that discipline starts at the lowest level; correct kit, being on time and being organised. These students are really demonstrating those standards with their application and attitude towards the ESA and representing the school.

This month the boys have been working on attacking transitions, developing game understanding and speed of thought.

Year 9 Cricket

Year 9s beat UOB School by 6 wickets in a winner takes all fixture.

Nathan N. set the tone with a wicket in his first ball of the UOB innings, as the wickets continued to tumble. Nathan with 1 wicket, 2 catches and a run out. Manraaj B., of Year 7, cleaned up the tailend with 2 wickets from his over. As we restricted UOB to 13 all out after just 3.2 overs.

Shayaan and Manraaj made lightwork of the small total, chasing it down after 2.5 overs without losing a wicket.

We finished top of the league and await the announcement of finals day, which will be held at Edgbaston.
