When giving information on books, always provide the complete title (in italics) and the name of the author(s) or editor(s). Include publishing date if this is useful.

Do not include the name of the publisher, as publishers may differ in different countries (unless it is a small or regional publisher and this information would be necessary for tracking down the book).
Use ‘and’ (rather than an ampersand) for joint authorship of books or in general text.
