When giving addresses, begin with the most specific element (eg Room or Suite number) and build outward (eg then floor, then building name, then street number and name). Note: regional variation may apply.

Use the abbreviations listed under Compulsory Abbreviations. Additional abbreviations may be adopted depending on the destination.
Where the street or roadway itself is the attraction (eg Highway 66, Great Ocean Road, Rodeo Drive), rather than a specific site on it, spell out the name in headings and when it’s being referred to as a specific attraction, but abbreviate it in general text.
A stroll along Rodeo Drive is a must for all window-shoppers.
Abbreviate North, South, East and West (N, S, E and W) in addresses, if it comes after the street name, unless local usage or the proper name of the street spells it out.
