At the Bayridge graduation ceremony, there are two major awards for computer science, both generously sponsored by Queen's University and the School of Computing. The first is the Queen's School of Computing Aspirations in Computing Award, given to a graduating student who shows great passion and interest in the field. The second is the Queen's Women in Computing Award of Excellence in Computing, given to a graduating female student who shows great enthusiasm for computer science and who acts as a role model for other young women.
Mr. Swaine is so thrilled that Queen's University has become such a valued partner in the computer science program at Bayridge, and we are so proud to honour two amazing students each year, with these incredible awards. The awards come with a $250 gift card, a Queen's Computer Science hoodie, and a card from Queen's Computing.
We are so proud of all of the students that come through the Bayridge Computer Specialist Program. So proud in fact, that we built a digital wall. These amazing people will always have a place at Bayridge and more specifically, the computer science program.

This is Ramzi. Ramzi works at with Dr. Marshall (see below) at Ingenuity Labs at Queen's. They've been fantastic to us and we love visiting their facility and having them come to us sometimes! Ramzi gets a hoodie.
This is Al. Al works down at Queen's and he's constantly helping the program by getting us old computers that Queen's isn't using anymore! He's also just about the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Al gets a hoodie.
This is Elise. Elise was able to set up co-op opportunities for BCSP students at the Queen's Centre for Advanced Computing. They learned tons about the field, not to mention what it was like to be around real-life Queen's students, and work in a team environment! Elise gets a hoodie.
