Starting in the fall of 2022, Bayridge is thrilled to offer students the opportunity to earn their SPECIALIST HIGH SKILLS MAJOR Certification in information and Communication Technology. This certification is different from the Bayridge Computer Specialist certificate. Students who earn an SHSM in ICT will graduate from Bayridge with a red seal on their diploma, indicating that they have earned certifications that go above and beyond a regular high school experience.

In order to earn their SHSM, students must...

• earn a specific group of high school credits related to ICT

• earn certifications - both compulsory and elective

• participate in experiential learning and career exploration activities

• participate in reach-ahead experiences

• earn two co-op credits
