Description:

Under the direct supervision of Admin & Finance Manager the Finance & HR Associate will be responsible to support the operations department in day to day financial, administrative and HR related compliance.

Under the project, Laar Humanitarian and Development Programme will ensure and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment throughout the project. LHDP will take every possible step to ensure that only those who share and demonstrate our values are recruited to work for us.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support Manager – Admin & Finance development of Financial Reports and Financial Management Information System

  • Maintain Financial records and documents as per organizational policy and donor requirement

  • Draft all necessary administration and financial management correspondence and be responsible for follow-up

  • Collect, maintain, and update data relevant on organizational software

  • Monitor payment requests within the Programme; obtain necessary clearances and ensure payments are effected promptly

  • Support Admin & Finance Manager recruiting, training and capacity building of staff

  • Make sure that staff get paid correctly and on time

  • Update and Monitor the Pensions and benefits for the staff

  • Support Programme team in preparing job descriptions and advertisements

  • Looking after the health, safety and welfare of all employees

  • Monitoring staff performance and attendance

  • Advise the employees of organization on employment policies and procedures

  • Negotiate salaries, contracts, working conditions or redundancy packages with staff and representatives

  • Perform any other duties as required by the Line Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

At least Bachelors in Business Administration (Finance), Commerce and Accounting or relevant subject with two to four years of relevant experience


Skills and knowledge required:

  • Knowledge of the basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis

  • Must be able to collect, evaluate and interpret data, in both statistical and narrative form

  • Capability of preparing files and maintaining records and documentation

  • Knowledge of Taxation system and Process in Pakistan

  • Grip on Financial Software and Management Information System

  • Sound Knowledge of Organizational Policies and procedures

  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills

  • Ability to work Independently, as well as in a team with complex environment

  • Ability to solve the problems

Main Internal contacts:

Finance & HR Associate will be coordinating with LHDP’s Finance, Logistic, Admin and Programme Teams. S/he will directly reports to Admin & Finance Manager and will follow the organization’s functional chart/organogram.

External Contacts

The position holder will be communicating admin and accounts related work with donor’s finance officer and other relevant officials, as directed by supervisor.
