Workload Management

'In terms of preparation, utilising the technology has enabled teachers to spend less time at the photocopier and thinking about the content of those lessons. They've been able to adapt lessons more appropriately for children. They're able to create things like Google Forms so that they can have that feedback in the moment rather than waiting until the end of the lesson to be able to do it. And they know more about their children than they've probably ever done before'

How can EdTech Impact on teacher time? PLEO 23

'I think there's been a huge reduction in teacher time being spent on photocopying and trimming worksheets and getting them ready for lessons, but also for the children in lessons. They do not have to spend time passing one glue stick around the table to stick in a worksheet. This saving time also means that teachers can repurpose it to be more targeted towards children's needs. No longer do they have to, for example, mark 30 sets of times table tests because it's done automatically for them; the time they would have spent marking those tests can now be put into planning high-quality interventions for the children who aren't up to date with their times table knowledge, for example.
