LGfL and EdTech UK are working in partnership to develop communities of practice that provide peer-to-peer support for the effective use of technology for enhancing teaching and learning in schools and colleges.

Highfurlong has a long tradition of using technology to support learners with higher needs. We have wide experience of using technology to facilitate and enhance communication allowing pupils to show their individual personalities and share their thoughts, feelings, likes and dislikes instead of others presuming and thinking for them. Our strategic vision is that assistive technology becomes a lifelong, lifesaving tool for our pupils.

Opportunities for Ribblesdale pupils are rich and varied: our innovative use of education technology has seen us recognised as a Microsoft Academy and a Department for Education Demonstrator School and our unique Enrichment Programme helps pupils foster their talents and gain new skills and experiences, extending learning well beyond the classroom walls.

“We value each child for who they are and prepare them for who they can be.”

Our school is a place where everyone is treated equally, encouraged and respected.  We believe that all children should be able to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.  We are committed to our school being a safe and inclusive place where learning is nurtured and encouraged in a happy, caring and fun environment.  We all work for our school to be a happy place where  good behaviour is expected and all children enjoy their educational journey.
