We are delighted to have Rebecca Brown working for us as our Family Support Worker at Shawley. She is highly experienced and is able to offer really targeted and effective support.
I have been working as the Trust Family Support Worker for LEO Academy for the past two years. I have previous experience in various Early Years settings, and as a Community Nursery Nurse for the NHS in Camden. Some of you might recognise me from when I was a nanny for a Shawley family a few years ago. I have experience in the counselling field, and have done lots of voluntary work in various settings. I am very excited about meeting you all and working at Shawley.

At Shawley Community Primary Academy, we hold a weekly small group session to support children across the school who fulfil the role of ‘Young Carer’ because they have a sibling or parent with serious health issues (mental or physical), special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).
We want to celebrate the important role our Young Carers play, but also recognise that they may face challenges and pressures not shared by the general school population.
The group meets during assembly time and is led by Mrs Haworth.
If you would like your child to take part, or have any questions, please email Mrs Harper via the office scoffice@leoacademytrust.co.uk

In the first instance we are inviting parents and carers to attend a virtual session that aims to provide them with general advice and support to help manage bedtime wetting.
