We have enjoyed reading the story 'The days the crayons quit' and writing our own letters as one of the crayons to Duncan, who is the main character in the story. In Maths we have been looking at subtraction with renaming and subtracting from multiples of 10. In Science we have continued our work on habitats and learning about food chains. In History we have been comparing schools 100 years ago to schools today and in Art we have been using leaves and the wax resist method to create our own pieces of art work.
Maths: We will be completing our topic on addition and subtraction and practising adding and subtracting with renaming.
English: We will be learning about expanded noun phrases and writing our own lost crayon stories.
Science: We will look at pond and woodland habitats during our trip to Nower Wood next week and then we will complete a piece of writing to show all that we have learnt about habitats this half term.
History: We will complete a piece of writing to show all that we have learnt about schools in the past and then we will have our very own Victorian day to celebrate all that we have learnt over the past few weeks.
Art: We will create our own piece of art work of natural objects using charcoal and graphite.
