This week we have completed our setting descriptions in English and have started to look at non-chronological reports. The children have enjoyed collecting information about a bison ready for their reports about them. In maths, we have been using the column method to add numbers together, including renaming. In science, we have been learning about food and why is it so important to animals. In history, the children were continuing to use archaeological evidence to learn about The Stone Age, specifically focusing on Amsebury Archer. In computing, we continued to learn about being safe online and took part in "The Moon Landing" project where learnt about setting up algorithms and debugging.
In English, we will continue to explore non-chronological reports where we will plan and write our own reports about a bison. In maths, we will focus on subtraction, including renaming and move onto using bar-models to support us when solving word problems. In history, we will be learning about how people found food during the Stone Age and Bronze Age and how trade changed the Iron Age. In science, we will be identifying the main food groups and identifying what makes a balanced diet.
