Dear Parents/Carers
I hope that you have been enjoying the glorious weather this week!
Last week the children were busy with Science week! There was lots of investigating floating and sinking, magnets, materials, ecosystems and lots more! Take a look at the Year group pages to see the children in action. We have also been busy raising money for Comic Relief
This week the children have been photographers and learning the skills needed to take really effective photos - take a look on the Year group pages.
We are certainly zipping through the academic year and Easter is nearly upon us! Thank you for your continued support.
Many thanks
Thank you for all the donations - we raised over £500! What a fantastic effort from all the pupils and their families at Brookfield.
This week, all children in the school, from Nursery to Year 6, took part in a Photography workshop, run by the fantastic photographers at Starsnappers.
Children experienced being in a photography 'studio' and learnt how different equipment is used to create the correct lighting and avoid unwanted shadows when taking great photographs. Children got the chance to take a photograph of themselves and of a friend, before posing for a final portrait. Everyone had a fantastic time!
On Friday 1st April there will be a mufti day for the children to wear the own clothes to school in exchange for the donations for the Easter Hampers.

The Easter Hampers Raffle will take place on Friday 8th April.
Well done to Layla Burrows for her 1km run that she completed for comic relief at home - another fantastic effort!

This Friday the LEO schools are taking part in the Easter TTRS competition. It runs from Friday 25th to Thursday 31st March. Make sure you play as much as possible so you can beat the other schools. There will be a prize for the three top scorers at each school. Good luck!
This week, our fabulous mathematicians have had the chance to practise their mental maths skills to quickly find 24 in the popular 24Game. There are so many different ways to solve each game and these children are really quick to identify them. They are becoming quite confident at code breaking and they worked in teams to crack the code as fast as possible, competing with the other teams. This time they had to find the London attractions after decoding the message and working out the clues.
